Description

PhantomPDF是中国福昕（Foxit）公司的一款面向企业级用户的PDF文档处理软件。 Foxit PhantomPDF 10.0.1.35811及更早版本对更新服务使用的配置文件的处理存在权限提升漏洞。该漏洞源于对更新服务使用的资源的权限设置不正确。攻击者可利用该漏洞提升权限并在SYSTEM上下文中执行代码。

This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of Foxit PhantomPDF 10.0.0.35798. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the handling of the configuration files used by the Foxit PhantomPDF Update Service. The issue results from incorrect permissions set on a resource used by the service. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute code in the context of SYSTEM.
